Job Description
Highly successful company with several sites is seeking a Quality Manager for their Midwest facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
** Daily management of the quality system to ensure strict application of the facilities, quality procedures & standards.
** Assure the highest quality organization and product possible, always striving to exceed the customers expectations and assuring ISO 9000 compliance.
** Hands on Quality Manager with the ability to recognize potential quality/production problems on the plant floor before they occur.
** Become an expert on the plants capability and customers end use.
** Compile & analyze daily/monthly quality reports.
** Report the performance of the quality system to management for monthly review.
** Build step by step progress toward zero defects for customers total satisfaction.
** Supervise all improvement actions, training and communication associated with quality
** Ensure corrective action processes are comprehensive, fast and effective. Maintain corrective actions to analyze/correct nonconforming conditions and customer complaints.
** Drive improvement in the plant quality performance to reduce both internal/and external PPMs and the total cost of quality.

QUALIFICATIONS
** 10-15 years experience in Quality Control for a manufacturing Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier to the automotive 0EMs.
** B.S. degree in a technical science or engineering preferred but will also consider math or statistics.
** Must be ASQ certified as a CQE.
** Experience in QS 9000 and TS 16949 system implementation.
** Ability to work with Sales and represent the company in a positive manner when communicating with customers.
** Demonstrated ability to build quality system towards PPM objective of 10. Zero PPM is the Goal.
